A catch-all feature that is enabled for a given mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten email address under the same domain, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you are running a business, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a cloud website hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a lot of functions, but it’s exceptionally simple to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only one click. All the email addresses that you have set up will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the particular email address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires one more mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated server with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the email addresses that you create with any domain name hosted in your account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click on that icon. In the same way you will be able to disable the feature, if you do not need it any longer. Our system will inform you if you are trying to activate a 2nd catch-all address for a specific domain name or if there’s enabled email forwarding, but it will never alter or deactivate anything automatically and without your approval.
